"There is usually as story behind the songs I write and they are often inspired by people, places and situations personal to me and sometimes more remote events in the world. I have been inspired by the songs of the Canadian musician Bruce Cockburn famous for ‘Wondering Where the Lions Are’. I play guitar and piano to accompany my songs and there’s a blend of indie folk, ballads and more up tempo tunes like ‘Coming Fast’ on my 2021 debut album ‘Break Me from This Spell’, which is also the title of the single available on all streaming platforms. If you like songs about love, faith and protest you’ll find quite a bit of that in my music." - Simon
